Consultation services for therapists & grad students

what is peer consultation?

I’m so glad you asked! First & foremost, peer consultation is not a replacement for supervision. However, it is a place where you can ask me any & all questions you have about your therapy career. Topics that we can discuss in consultation might include:

  • Opening/running your own private practice

  • How to start accepting insurance

  • Marketing yourself (social media or otherwise)

  • Therapist social media

  • Navigating client needs

  • & more

There are no off limit topics. If I don’t know the answer to something, I will do my best to figure it out for you!

peer consultation for therapists

I am a therapist who aims to be relatable, validating and relaxed. I love working with other therapists and helping to make this field more accessible for individuals who just don’t get the type of therapist that grad school teaches us to be. My goal is to help you feel confident being yourself in the therapy space so that you can fully show up for your clients & for yourself! Masking as a blank-slate-therapist is exhausting & you’re going to be a much better clinician if you can let go of the idea that you’re not allowed to be a human with your clients.

peer consultation for grad students

As someone who went through the strenuous process of becoming a fully licensed therapist, I understand the lack of support you might feel in navigating all of the areas that are required in this field. My goal is to be the support for you that I didn’t have when I was in your shoes.

I went through a somewhat unique route to becoming a therapist since I dual-majored in counseling and art therapy. Hopefully, that can be of some use to you!

Basically, you show up with all of your questions & I answer all of them to the best of my ability! I will be answering questions from the perspective of someone who went through the process of getting an LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor) license and an ATR (Registered Art Therapist) credential.

  • & more

There is no topic that is off limits. If I don’t know the answer to something, I’ll do my best to figure it out!
